Rainice has performed with numerous ensembles across the US, Asia and Europe. Rainice has served as a guest percussionist with professional orchestras such as Philharmonia Orchestra London, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Macau Orchestra, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Hawaii Symphony Orchestra and New World Symphony. As an active chamber musician, Rainice has appeared in the Boston Symphony Orchestra Prelude Series, Boston’s leading contemporary ensemble ‘Callithumpian Consort’, the Summer Institute of Contemporary Performance Practice; she also appeared on the Dutch National Classical Music TV Channel, Podium Witteman, as a guest percussionist with Fuse Ensemble. Rainice was a musician at Spoleto Festival Orchestra USA for three consecutive years where she performed in numerous operas and chamber concerts; she was a featured soloist in the festival’s Music in Time series in 2018.
Rainice was born and raised in Hong Kong where she started playing piano and percussion from a young age. Rainice holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Boston Conservatory and a Masters degree from Temple University both in percussion performance. She also holds graduate performance degrees in percussion from New England Conservatory and is currently pursuing Doctor of Musical Arts in percussion performance at Boston University.
